Barossa Music Centre Teaching RoomsBarossa Music Centre Waiting AreaOur on-site music school offers private music tuition for students of all ages from beginners through to advanced levels on guitar (all styles), bass guitar, drums & percussion, piano, keyboard, vocals, violin, clarinet & saxophone.

We have 9 air-conditioned teaching studios located on the mezzanine level of the store with a spacious waiting area for parents.

Lessons are run according to the school term with a 30 minute allocated class held weekly. The price of lessons per 10 week term is between $270-$280, which is payable by the 5th week of term.

Bec Peregi

  • 1 Enjoyable year at BMC
  • Bec teaches correct singing technique, breath control, vocal warmups etc and encourages her students to explore the music they enjoy.
  • 18 year singing career. Has played in numerous well known Adelaide bands, currently with Liquid Lava.
  • Support act for James Reyne in 2009
  • Passionate about music & enjoys writing her own songs.
  • Bec takes great pride in nurturing & guiding her students to be the best they can be.
Cameron ORiely Guitar Bass Guitar

Cameron O’Riley

Bass Guitar (all guitars)
  • 6 years at BMC
  • Diploma in Music
  • won award for outstanding achievement in music (top of his class)
  • Currently playing in Adelaide band “Pumpometer"
  • Cameron teaches all styles of guitar  - specialises in bass.
  • Being young, he loves his approach to teaching & feels the students respond well.
  • Willing to teach what the students want to learn with personalized lessons.

Chris Isaacson

Saxophone / Clarinet
  • 10 years at BMC
  • Diploma of music performance
  • plays in local jazz band "All Souled Out"
  • from classical to improvisation, Chris has lots of fun teaching his students.
Darryl Press Guitar

  • teaches all styles of guitar playing, including banjo & bass.
  • local muso, played in many local bands with lots of knowledge to give.
  • has a great following of students & he enjoys watching them improve.
Jan Brealey Piano

Jan Brealey

  • Long standing dedicated teacher of BMC
  • Holds her LMus diploma
  • Enjoys teaching students through their AMEB exams
  • Well known local musical identity having played many performances in the Barossa and was a regular performer for the Australian Society for Keyboard Music for many years.
  • Full member of the South Australian Teachers Association

Peter Banks

  • 2 years at BMC
  • Certificate AMEB 6
  • Teaches all styles of drums
  • 45 years experience with Bigbands, Rock & Jazz
  • Enjoys the challenge of teaching drums and has seen many of them go on to University studies.
Sebastian Angas Drums

Sebastian Angus

  • 8 years at BMC
  • Certificate in jazz for drums
  • Teaches all styles of drums but specialises in jazz.
  • Enjoys watching students progress and just having fun.
  • Originally from the Barossa, playing in many local Adelaide bands.
  • Sebatian is the author of "Beginner to Rock Star" and is currently based in Adelaide.
Steve Gregory Guitar

Steve Gregory

  • Teaching & playing professionally for the last 5 years
  • Plays in 2 local bands – Top Dead Centre & Cosmic Storm
  • Teaches all styles of guitar, his forte is country , rockabilly & heavy metal.
  • He likes the ‘mentor’ aspect of teaching, this makes it very rewarding.

  • Plays all styles of drums from heavy rock to brass band percussion

  • Loves getting students motivated and geared with the right skills to play in a band.
Trish Townsend Keyboard Piano

Trish Townsend

  • 30 years teaching experience. Over ten years with BMC
  • Has furthered her own study over that time to 8th grade piano, 5th grade theory & 8th grade electronic organ.
  • A member of the Music Teachers Association of S.A.
  • Loves the structure of learning music through exams, especially the AMEB system.
  • Seeing the positive satisfaction from students as they learn and enjoying that with them
  • enjoys being part of her students musical journey
